We are pleased to share with you our September capacity building offerings. Next month, we will host two sessions on excel skills with Kemi Oso and two sessions on organizational budgeting with imi rashid.

We are also hosting a 5-week series this fall for CZI grantees who want to deepen their skills and knowledge in digital communications. You can read more about that opportunity below in our “grantee opportunities” section.

If you would like to attend a CZI community session and need ASL or Spanish interpretation, please let us know at least 7 days prior to the session at capacitybuilding@chanzuckerberg.com.

CZI weekly training sessions are open to everyone and made accessible for individuals at all skill levels. We will specifically note at the bottom of a training if advanced skills or knowledge are useful, though it will never be required for attendance.

Learning Outcomes: 

• Explore the layout of Google Sheets/Excel
• Understand definitions of cells, arrays, tabs, formulas, filters
• Learn the execution of formulas TRIM, PROPER, CONCATENATE

• Understand use cases for pivot tables and best practices

Deeper Learning Opportunities

Digital Communications Cohort
Cultivate Strategies will be holding a Digital Communications Cohort from October-November 2023. There will be five group training sessions and the opportunity for grantees to have up to 10 hours of one-on-one advising.

This training is best suited for organizations with an email program and one  or more social media channels.

Applications are due by Friday, August 25th at 5pm PST.

Organizational Advising

Current grantees are invited to sign up for up to four hours of advising with our training partners after attending their training sessions. Places are limited and booked on a first-come, first-serve basis. Please consult this guide for clarity on advising parameters with our partners.
