June 2024

Letter from the Team

Happy June!

The Open Science team is hard at work planning our semi-annual grantee convening this month! We feel lucky that CZI enables us to bring together our community in a way that helps foster collaboration and build connections, especially given the extremely distributed nature of our fellow Open Science practitioners. This time of year is always the busiest for us, especially with travel to other conferences. If you happen to run into one of us, say hey!

We’re pleased to announce a partnership with Organizational Mycology to host monthly calls for the EOSS community in the second half of 2024. We hope these community calls will offer the opportunity for EOSS grantees (past and present) to share knowledge related to software development and other aspects of running scientific open source projects. We hope to make these calls relevant and engaging for open source practitioners from various backgrounds, so we welcome project leads, staff, or active members of your communities to join us. If you're interested in participating in these calls, please complete this form to receive direct emails announcing upcoming events and topics.

If you know someone who wants to receive the newsletter, they can subscribe via this form.

As always, you’re welcome to submit announcements relevant to our broader community by sending a note to openscience@chanzuckerberg.com by the first of the month. We look forward to working with you to continue promoting open sciences practices!
